Facilities and Mechanical Maintenance Manager (OPW campus in North Kildare)

Cpl are once again supporting our client partner to help them recruit an experienced Facilities Management professional for an OPW campus in Celbridge Co. Kildare.

This is a large scale OPW site with 3 different government departments and approx 1,100 people working on the campus.

Due to internal promotions and additional business growth, they are now looking to hire an industry professional for the site as “Facilities Manager”.

In this role, you will lead a high performing “Soft Services Engineering team” across the site.

The role is 100% live, it has full budget sign off and the client will review suitable CV’s and provide feedback within approx 2 - 3 working days.

Overview of the roles:

In your role as site Facilities Manager, you will support the Site Services Director in the delivery of a best in class “Hard and Soft Services contract”.

The role will cover Primarily mechanical as well as electrical building services, building fabric, sub-contractor management and service for the entire site.

Your Facilities team will deliver and maintain a best-in-class service across Mechanical Utilities Engineering Management systems, Operational and Management role responsibility for Chillers, Compressors, Boilers, Purified water systems, HVAC, and OFA Compressor maintenance on Client Semi-Conductor site as well as -

• Planning of technical maintenance in a large secure scale facility.
• This site is comprised of several buildings that are for office-based staff, and it also comprises a number of high spec and extremely secure laboratory and test facilities.
• Vendor management and team lead of technical services for the business.
• Provide technical support and root cause analyses on all corrective maintenance and project commissioning/integration activities.
• Mechanical EHS lead on all outsourced maintenance activities, job plan audits and maintenance risk assessments.
• Some of your primary duties will be to oversee the maintenance engineering and management of the site including:
  • Centrifugal Chillers.
  • Compressor systems and dryers.
  • Boiler and burners.
  • Water treatment.
  • AHU / Ventilation systems.
  • Management of the site soft services

·      Manage maintenance budgeting and finance.

• Pre-Planning of project scoping on behalf of Client on Mechanical system works.
• Adhere to all site policies of the Facility.
• Assist with preparing, maintaining, and submitting reports and records to the Client and IFM team.
• Attend staff conferences and trainings.
• Meet and exceed Client relationship and expectations.

·      Vendor / outsourcing procurement

·      Safety and Quality management

·      Manage small projects for the site when required.

Professional experience and requirements needed –

·      Great communication with Client and Colleagues.

·      Continued learning and improvement on the job.

• Level 8 Degree.
• Experience in Boiler, Chiller, HVAC Maintenance on an industrial site.
• At least 3 years in leadership role in Hard or Soft Facilities services
• Highly organized.
• Excellent IT Skills – Particularly in Excel and presentation of technical data
• Excellent Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a cross disciplined a team.

·      Meticulous attention to detail.

• Mechanical utilities experience.
• Ability to work to communicate clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & communication skills both written and verbal.  
• Work closely with all parties to meet the business objectives.

·      Ability to go the extra mile when required and innovate.

·      6 years plus in a lead engineering or technical management role.

·      Candidate to have an education and practical understanding of the Maintenance of Mechanical Systems in a large industrial environment.
