As a result of continued business growth, the company is now seeking to hire Field Service Engineer to join their team, this is a great opportunity for a service engineer who is eager to advance their career with a leading provider of distributed power generation solutions.
In this role you will be working Monday Thursday from 8:30 am to 5 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 4 pm. This role will involve a weekend role and possible out-of-hours work. You will also be required to participate in the on-call rota.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include the following:
You will carry out scheduled or unscheduled maintenance work on installations.
You will provide a complete level of service to your customers on-site including commissioning, fault-finding, servicing, maintaining, repairing, calibrating, and validating all Equipment and Applications.
You will be reporting to the Diesel Service Manager, you will diagnose and implement all reactive maintenance work on both clients installations and other users installations.
You must ensure that customers are satisfied with the product and service provided.
You will preserve the service operation with the goal of good performance.
You will need to maximize availability and uptime by effecting the first-time fix wherever possible.
You will attend training courses when required and acquire a good working knowledge of the Company’s Equipment and Applications.
You will review technical documentation and write technical reports accurately.
Additional Information & Requirements
Qualification to Senior Trade level in Plant Fitting and/or Diesel Mechanic, Car Mechanic
To be a competent time-served technician in a mechanical and/or electrical discipline, preferably with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
A full valid driving license.
Experience technician with considerable skills in a thorough knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines.
Effective IT skills with competency in the use of Microsoft office.
An acknowledged H&S qualification and in-date CSCS card or Gas, Safe qualification would be an advantage to the application.
