Our client is a well-known public transport company based in Dublin who are currently recruiting for HGV and Car Mechanics to join their team on a permanent basis. To be considered for these roles, you will need to possess a National Craft Certificate for the trade of Heavy/light Vehicle Mechanic and/or currently registered in an apprenticeship.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle and plant fault diagnosis
Preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant, and premises
All tasks associated with the mechanical systems, electrical systems, and body systems of vehicles
Operate garage equipment
Grease vehicle lubrication points and change vehicle oils Maintain vehicle batterie
Undertake all tasks provided for in the Productivity Agreements EGRP02.4 HR August 2013 and 2 Report any vehicle defects observed to supervisor
Maintain clean and efficient workshop
Undertake roadside repair and recovery of vehicles
Qualification requirements:
National Craft Certificate for the trade of Heavy/light Vehicle Mechanic awarded by SOLAS/Department of Education following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship OR
Advanced Certificate Craft awarded by FETAC following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship Driving Licence requirements:
A Valid Category B Irish Driving Licence – held for a minimum of 2 years OR
A Valid Full Category D Irish Driving licence
Other requirements:
Be over 21 years old (to comply with D licence regulation)
Fluent spoken and written English
Applicants must be available to work shifts, including nights, weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts depending on staffing requirements

€46,478.17 to €55,263.62
