Overview of the Role:

Flexsource is currently recruiting Housekeeping Operatives for a key healthcare client based in Dublin. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment across both clinical and non-clinical departments. Full training is provided, and prior healthcare cleaning experience, while desirable, is not essential.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Clean all assigned clinical and non-clinical areas to high hygiene standards
  • Manage and remove waste (domestic and clinical) in line with the Waste Management Policy
  • Liaise with Waste Removal Operators to ensure proper waste collection and documentation
  • Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and stored correctly
  • Operate cleaning machinery safely, including scrubber dryers and buffers
  • Refill waste bins and remove full bins to designated areas
  • Collect and transfer used linen and scrubs to collection points
  • Perform deep cleans and routine cleaning of:
    • Walls, doors, windows, ledges
    • Sanitary ware, furniture, fixtures & fittings
    • Phones and healthcare equipment
  • Damp dust high-level surfaces and perform dust control/vacuuming/mopping on floors and stairs
  • Restock consumables and disposables as needed
  • Maintain clinical bin stores in a clean and organized condition
  • Ensure all cleaning cloths & mop heads are washed, dried, and ready for use
  • Complete and return checklists to managers/supervisors as required
  • Greet and interact professionally with patients, offering a helpful and caring attitude

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or similar environment is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy
  • A commitment to customer service and patient care
  • Ability to follow procedures and work as part of a team
  • Full training provided for all successful candidates
  • Shift work 5/7 days 
  • Garda Vetting required
