We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team in Dublin and oversee the efficient operation of our facilities, including our new Material Recovery Facility (MRF) currently under construction. The successful candidate will lead, develop, and collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all fixed and mobile machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop, implement, and oversee maintenance programs for all equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Manage and execute preventive maintenance tasks on motors, conveyor systems, production machinery, and other waste processing equipment following technical manuals and manufacturer specifications.
· Troubleshoot and address mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and precision instruments, minimizing downtime.
· Ensure proper inventory of parts and supplies, maintaining stock levels, expediting orders, and adhering to procurement and PO procedures.
· Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
· Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and provide feedback and development opportunities.
· Coordinate with operational teams to prioritize tasks and align maintenance efforts with production goals.
· Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource management, to ensure the MRF and related facilities run cost-effectively.
· Identify and implement process improvements to optimize performance, reduce costs, and extend the lifespan of equipment.
· Maintain safe, clean, and organized maintenance work areas, championing initiatives such as 5S.
· Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards, addressing any issues promptly to maintain a safe working environment.
· Prepare and analyse maintenance reports to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
· At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in maintenance operations within a production or waste processing environment.
· Excellent organizational and team leadership skills, with the ability to foster a safety-first culture.
· Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
· Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and automation technologies is an advantage.
· Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
· Maintenance qualifications and experience with tracking systems are highly desirable.
