We are currently seeking a maintenance technician to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will support the efficient operation of our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) by performing maintenance on all equipment, machinery, and infrastructure within the facility.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct routine preventive maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
· Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems as needed, responding promptly to any equipment malfunctions.
· Regularly inspect machines to identify potential issues or wear, troubleshooting problems and implementing corrective measures.
· Assist in diagnosing and resolving equipment faults to support uninterrupted facility operations.
· Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations and company guidelines.
· Participate in safety training and adhere strictly to safe work practices, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
· Maintain clear and organized records of parts used, repairs completed, and any additional maintenance needs.
· Manage and track the use of spare parts, ensuring necessary inventory is maintained to prevent equipment downtime.
· Liaise with suppliers as needed to source quality parts and materials in a timely manner.
· Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance and maintenance practices.
· Participate in team meetings and maintenance planning sessions to share insights and learnings.
· Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and other team members to support all operational needs.
· Provide support on special projects or facility upgrades as directed by management.
Requirements:
· Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
· Proven experience in a maintenance technician role, ideally within a production or waste management
· facility.
· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with a working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
· Strong understanding of Health & Safety protocols and commitment to safe working practices.
· Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
This is a site-based role with required flexibility for occasional shift work or weekend hours
