We are currently seeking an MRF Plant Production Supervisor to join us in Dublin on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to oversee the daily operations of the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). You will be responsible for supervising personnel, ensuring efficient plant operations, optimizing productivity and maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment. A good understanding of both English and Romanian is ideally required for this role

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide day-to-day supervision of MRF personnel, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely. Act as the 

direct reporting line for all staff within the MRF.

• Identify and implement best practices to maximise production output and improve the efficiency of both the MRF 

and yard operations.

• Regularly review performance data and lead the team to achieve KPI targets.

• Work closely with the MRF Manager to develop work schedules, ensuring operational and annual leave coverage 

needs are met.

• Monitor daily operations, including staffing levels, material handling, and production targets. Ensure efficient use 

of resources, including fuel usage, staffing hours, and adherence to the 5S methodology.

• Ensure incoming loads meet quality standards for processing. Quickly address contamination issues and adjust 

pricing as needed.

• Oversee the efficient and compliant handling, separation, and delivery of waste materials to appropriate outlets. 

Ensure pre-sorting by loading machine operators is completed.

• Ensure all revenue and cost-control measures are followed. This includes monitoring weighbridge traffic, diesel 

usage, and ensuring that waste received is accurately categorised.

• Implement and oversee a comprehensive maintenance program for all fixed and mobile plant equipment within 

the MRF. Ensure daily cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed, and collaborate with maintenance personnel

for scheduled PM activities.

• Ensure all personnel are fully trained and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines.

• Address any safety concerns or issues promptly.

• Implement a plant maintenance program with all fixed and mobile assets clearly identified and oversee the use 

of Asset minder for logging maintenance activities.

• Support other operational activities as requested by the MRF Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven supervisory experience in a production or waste management environment.

• Experience supervising teams in a labour-intensive, multi-shift operation.

• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate staff.

• Familiarity with operating and maintaining MRF equipment and mobile plant machinery.

• This is a site-based role.
