Cpl are working with a key client of ours who are a German Multinational and a global leader in the manufacture of industrial Chemicals and Adhesives in their west Dublin Atex Grade bulk manufacturing facility.

Due to continued business growth and an internal promotion, there is now an immediate requirement for a Maintenance / Plant Reliability Engineer to join the team.

This is a day’s role working Monday to Friday, supporting the sites head of facilities and plant engineering and you will also work alongside a team of high performing craft professionals and other stake holders in the wider engineering team. 

Job Details

JOB PURPOSE:

 

As the site Maintenance Engineer, you will be tasked and responsible for providing technical support for the safe and efficient maintenance of process equipment in an Atex Grade Chemical Manufacturing plant.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring the plant and equipment processes to ensure maximum efficiently, YIELD and OEE

• The Plant Engineer will offer technical leadership, support and assistance to the wider craft teams and others in the wider engineering division

• As a subject matter expert, you will oversee the development and upgrading of process improvement and reliability procedures

• You will have ownership for change management protocols 

• You will maintain all process, utility, and calibrated equipment to appropriate standards.

• The Plant Engineer will instigate and lead maintenance projects to improve equipment reliability, while increasing production uptime.

• Be a key member of the New Product Introduction team and provide technical support for the introduction of new processes and equipment to site.

• Propose and implement preventative maintenance task improvements for process and utility equipment.

• Assess and implement changes to instrumentation calibration tasks and frequencies to improve performance.

• Administration and control of Building Management System on site.

• Use and promote root cause analysis methodologies within the Maintenance Department.

• Maintain compliance with the Quality Management System.

• Input into annual contractor Service Level Agreement reviews.

• Implement policies and procedures for new equipment.

• Develop training material for all maintenance equipment and develop training systems and knowledge base within the Department.

• Review effective stock control of spare parts and consumables for equipment.

• Monitor and review energy consumption data.

• Maintain an effective maintenance document archive system.

• Ensure the Manufacturing Department is always provided with adequate SME technical support.

• Participate in Safety and Environmental programs. Adhere to safe working practices as set out in the Safety Statement and other company safety rules.

• Encourage actively the culture of teamwork and integration within the Engineering Department, and with both Manufacturing and Quality Departments.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Third Level qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience.

• Alternatively, if you are trade qualified and have progressed your career in plant and or reliability engineering this will also be considered

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years maintenance experience in a controlled and regulated manufacturing environment

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Experience in leading Engineering projects

• Proven ability to influence key stakeholders

• Ability to communicate with site management, manufacturing, and quality personnel.

• In depth understanding of process and utility equipment, including mechanical, electrical & controls systems.

• Knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to maintenance work.

• In depth understanding of computerized maintenance systems.

• Ability to plan workloads and work to tight timelines.

• Ability to produce technical reports on maintenance issues.
