Our client based in Carrigaline, Cork is currently recruiting experienced Production Planner to join their busy team for an immediate start.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Experience in production & supply chain planning.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks and manage priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the supply planning process, focusing on short term supply planning and inventory management of finished goods.
  • Generate Short/Medium term master production scheduling and material requirement planning
  • Identify and decide on short term supply issues.
  • Highlight short/medium term exceptional cases.
  • Work closely with the third-party planning team to ensure delivery of customer service, stock and cost requirements
  • Work closely with the logistics teams to ensure delivery of customer service, stock and cost requirements.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks on finished goods production, including with key suppliers, and propose ways to resolve them at optimal cost
  • Deliver the business supply planning process, particularly the annual supply planning process, to ensure a robust supply plan is issued to the manufacturing sourcing units, third party and sourcing teams for volume and cost planning purposes.
  • Manage the stock holding policy to meet customer service level targets.
  • Run up/ run down of all materials in times of innovations/promotions to ensure limited business waste and on time availability of new materials.
  • Maintain Master Data integrity in the system
  • Maintain Work Orders in Mfg.-Pro – weekly and monthly buckets
  • Stock Control – manage FEFO and Shelf-Life of Finished Goods
  • Achieving Working Capital Targets for Finished Goods
  • New Product Introduction
  • Manage Rework – work with PLI to rework returns and manage credits through the system
  • Cover for Customer Service and Raw & Pack Planner
  • Process customers rolling 12-month purchase demand plans into a rolling 12 month make plan.
  • Factor in make capabilities whilst maintaining the 12-month rolling plant calendar.
  • React to changes in supply demand to meet required customer service.
  • Partake in the annual business planning cycle.
  • Monitor finished goods stocks, sales, and production orders to achieve required finished goods days on hand (DOH) targets and mitigate out of stock situations.
  • Monitor and report on monthly work capital achievement to achieve Full Year targets
  • Forecast, monitor and report on data, typically financial value, production tonnage and litre quantity.
  • Process new product introduction demand in a timely manner to achieve Customer launch targets.
  • Monitor and report quarterly on LSDI obsolete materials.
  • 39 hours a week MON-FRI
